LITERATURE REVIEW RESOURCES 2 Literature Review resources Bibliography information 1. Boehm, D. A. (2016). Returned: Going and Coming in the Age of Deportation. Link Annotation This research article by Boehm, (2016) describes the dislocation as well as the violence that the Mexican-born migrants experiences who suffer deportation from the United States. Violence can either be sexual, legal, psychological or even physical. The data that Boehm uses in this research is generated from the interviews that he has undertaken from the rural parts of Mexico. Removal of the immigrants commenced during the Obama Administration and has continued under trumps presidency. The article is dived into chapters each depicting its own scenario of rights violation. Chapter talks about the shifts that have occurred from a more voluntary returns to the increasing figures of involuntary removals and the larger number of non- criminal migrants. The other chapters express the same matter, in conclusion however, the article depicts the denial of human rights of unauthorized migrants with the US. It also offers an understanding of how the so called US laws is a ruse that belies the migrant’s experience of lawlessness and violation. Bibliography information

LITERATURE REVIEW RESOURCES 3 2. Donohue, L. K. (2018). Border Search Authorities Related to Customs. Link Annotation This research analysis by Donohue, (2018) depicts the search of the electronic devices that goes on at the borders where migration takes place. The analysis showed that there was a drastic rise in the number of devices between 2015 and 2017. It’s evident from the article that 4444 cell phones and 320 other electronic devices were detected in the search that occurred in 2015. Examination of the traveler’s digital data is supported by three legal arguments. The legal case law include and statutory provisions recognize an exemption to the warrant requirements of the possessed items. The second requirement involves an eye towards the national security. Arguments however have been piled against the government center upon the nature of the information that can be obtained. The laws focuses on the material staffs, paying little attention to the electronic devices, the phone in particular has a lot of information beyond the material things being inspected. This issue is further complicated by cloud computing issues which occurs either making use of the device to access information stored in the cloud or via requesting travelers to give out log in credential or identifier.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
