Surname 1 Name: Instructor: Institution affiliate: Course: Date: Film Analysis- The Crossing The film Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River is among the many fascinating realities that are depicted in the film The Crossing”. The movie is basically a war drama that is played with high realism. However, the critics have tried to reduce this works of history and a lot of nature and of the nationalistic passion play. Jeff Daniels plays this piece with a real aplomb. There are various fascinating and gripping scenes during the combat. All in all, the film has a high quality that is recommended for casual entertainment and can be improved by some kinds of education. For a film to be watched on TV, and it can be considered decent. However, the way the soldiers are depicted particularly Washington's monologue in the manner he can't stand men willing to help the defeat of the American citizens to make money. It is not clear whether Washington was aware, but the reality remains that those soldiers were recruits from Germany, specifically Hessen-Kassel who was financed by monarch Landgraf Friedrich II. From the beginning, the soldiers try to assert that Americans are going to war because of equality and liberty. It is evident that is not true because it is a French revolution which is Liberty, Fraternity, and equality. According to the American slogan, it would have been life,
