1 I have witnessed cases where nurses complain of busy shifts and long working hours. Nurses may not buy-in intentional hourly rounding because they believe that what they have been doing is better than the new strategy. Seasoned nurses unwilling to accept the new strategy may also influence other professionals not to accept purposeful hourly rounding (Shepard, 2013) Also, some patients have lost needs which need to be attended to by nurses and this result to nurses spending too much time helping a small number of patients (Shepard, 2013). This barrier can be managed by taking the time to explain the benefits of intentional hourly rounding to all healthcare providers especially nursing staff who show some resistance. I intend to promote intentional hourly rounding during nurse staff meetings and to listen to every complaint from nurses even six months after the implementation of the new strategy. Moreover, patients may complain over the unintended interruptions by nurses and other healthcare providers such as physicians. These interruptions may result in the hourly rounding

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
