My analysis is going to be based on the PEAR model. PEAR is an acronym for People, Environment, Actions and Resources. This model helps examine and explain human factors. When I think of human factors, I think about people. I think we all would. Our business, our employees, our customers, everything revolves around people and what we can do to make things better for them. In this analysis we are talking about employees in their work environment, are they working inside or outside, is it cool or hot, how long are the shifts? Do we give the employees instructions like standard operating procedures, so they know when to perform each task in the proper order? Actions is mostly about communicating with each other and making sure everyone knows what to do and they have the proper skills and training. Resources are the tools that makes everything go. We want to make sure that our people have everything they need to do their job safely and efficiently. Individually each item is important but incomplete. When all these things work together, that’s when we start to minimize risks.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
