Welcome to the Introduction to Speech Communication Course/SPCH 1311. This
course is fully online and will require each student to:

Purchase a textbook.

Make sure you have the means to record and upload speeches. You can also
create a Youtube.com or Vimeo.com account and upload there but know that there
might be technical issues. Screencast-O-Matic is the best site to use because it allows
you to show your power point while you present if you can not do it any other way.

Commit to meeting deadlines for Blackboard submissions.

Respond to classmates on the Discussion Board.

Present and upload 2 presentations (
REMEMBER that both the informative and
persuasive speech must be done in order to pass the course).
 Complete multiple discussion boards, assignments, quizzes, and journals.
In this course we will discuss the channel for which to communicate a message. You
have the wonderful opportunity of taking this class by using eCampus/ Blackboard.
