1 . The advantage of having different time quantum sizes in a computing system that uses Round-Robin Scheduling Algorithm is to allow high level interactive processes to run with short time quantum size processes, while long jobs can be in a queue with long time quantum and low priority; this allow the system to associate process aging with priority and would also prevent the processor from starvation for treating processes . 2 . In a non preemptive schedueling algorithm, a process can allocate the CPU all the time until it terminates and releases the CPU or switch to a waiting time. However, in a preemptive schedueling system the CPU is switches from one process to another either by an interrupt or when the time quantum for that process has ended . 3 . Advantages of Threads over Processes : a- Threads increase the system throughput and gives better performance . b-
