Reflective Journal Template – Topic Reflection Topic: Abortion What were the key points of contention on this topic? Conservatives that are pro-life believe abortion is morally wrong and essentially violates the word of God. Some modern conservatives believe that although abortion is morally wrong if the mother’s life is in jeopardy, then it would be justified. On the contrary, supporters of abortion believe a woman’s right to choose is well within her right to autonomy regardless of the reason for her decision. The argument between the two sides also questions when life begin? The arguers of abortion believe life begins at conception while most defenders believe it begins at birth. What side of the argument (stance) do you take on this topic? I believe that a woman should have the right to choose whether she keeps it or terminates.
