Bullying is a draining issue talked across the world. Bullying defined by The Merriam- Webster Dictionary, as an abusive and mistreatment of someone vulnerable by someone stronger or more powerful . This is also one of the common issue and argument tackled here in the Philippines. According to statistics of the Community of Accredited Online School, 28% of students, age 12 to 18 are reported being bullied at school. Common victims are students and seldom, teachers. With that said, bullying must be stopped. First and Foremost, why do they bully? According to a research conducted by a company named Ditch the Label, the major factors why bullies bully are stress and trauma, while 66% of the people interviewed by Ditch the Label admit bullying due to aggressive behavior and some are because of personal grudge to gain revenge, especially to some bullies that experienced once to be bullied. Bullying others satisfy them and because of bullying they feel that they are superior to others. However, the people bullying are not aware that the amount of power they gain, is the same amount of confident and self-reliance the victims lose. Every day, there are surprising number of people who become victims of bullying. Throughout the years it caused negative effects to individuals. One of the negative effects is depression.
