Kayla Jolivette Williams Global Business 23 March 2018 What Can Be Done to Make Our Schools Safer In the past five years there has been 290 school shootings in the United States. In 2018, alone there has been 18, and we are in the third month of the year. Some are terrified going to school, there are protest. But not just about shootings stabbings, also. I have a few things, which I believe will make our school safer. To start off with, instead enforcing all these rules and expecting everyone to follow, is ineffective. Most teenagers are rebels and don’t want to follow the rules. Like not being able to wear shoes that don’t have a back to them, because it’s a hazard that we might trip in case of an emergency??? I trip wearing my regular tennis shoes, if you are going to trip, you are going to trip no matter the shoe. Plus if they really believed they are going to trip they can take them off easily. Some schools listens to their student council, and work with the students. Mesh bags are understandable. That is the only one that makes sense.
