[Last Name] 1 a) Based upon the reading and clips of Classical Conditioning, take what you have learned and apply it to the following scenario: Tyrell was involved in a bad car accident the other day down near Walmart. Fortunately, he is going to be ok, but it was quite traumatic for him. The only problem is that now whenever he sees the Walmart Sign, Store, or even a Walmart advertisement on TV, he starts having panic attacks. Explain how the principles of Classical Conditioning have caused him to respond with panic/fear to Walmart when this has never been the case for him before. Hint: start out with the unconditioned stimulus and unconditioned response. In other words, what is the natural unlearned stimulus (called the unconditioned stimulus) that is supposed to trigger fear (called the unconditioned or unlearned response) in Tyrell? How did the neutral stimulus (something that normally doesn't trigger that fear) start causing fearing and panic? Use the Classical Conditioning Terms for each part. Finally, do you have any ideas about how Tyrell might unlearn this association so he can feel better?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
