Biodiversity Graphs 1. What did you learn? (Main Point, interesting facts, ideas, etc.) By looking at and analyzing the two graphs on the on the PDF file on school loop, many things can be taken away. For example, just by glancing at both graphs one can easily conclude that the number of genera is generally gradually increasing over millions of years. Another thing I learned by analyzing the graphs was that biodiversity levels would recover within a couple of million years after an extinction. I believe that the main idea of these graphs is to illustrate to us that the biological composition of the earth is constantly changing over millions of years and that it is and will continue to increase in biodiversity into the future. An interesting fact that I learned was that there was some sort of extinction event in each era, most notably the mass extinctions in the Ordovician, Devonian, Permian, Triassic, and the Cretaceous Eras. Another interesting idea that is

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
