Method: Kaylena Flynn-Rizk Participants:  50 male students from Swarthmore College  Design: Using a line judgement task, Asch put a na ï ve participant in a room with 7 confederates.  The confederates had agreed in advance what their responses would be when presented with the  line task. The real participant did not know this and was led to believe that the other 7 confederates were also real participants.  Asch's experiment also had a control condition where there were no confederates, only a  "real participant." Participants were told that they were participating in a ‘vision test’ and were unaware of
