SCENARIO:
You work at a big company that employs engineers from all
departments. We are looking to hire three interns this summer. We
are open to any type of engineering, but we want impressive, well-
rounded students.
Your boss forgot about the deadline and now there are hundreds of
resumes to get through. Your team has 12 minutes to go
through this pile of 20 resumes and decide on ONE to bring
in for an interview.
***Pretend all will be graduating in 2020/2021 (these are out of date,
my apologies).

matching service, recruiters spend an average of six
seconds reviewing an individual resume.

FORMATTING THE RÉSUMÉ

Use distinctive headings and subheadings.

Use bullet points – not complete sentences

Use good action verbs
WARNING: Avoid being overly complex or using
decorative formatting.

Do not include your high school.
