Film Write-up Assignment: Boyz ‘N the Hood 11/27/2007 Description of the main characters : When Furious had Trey he was 17. His friends we’re dropping out of School, getting drunk and high, robbing people and killing people. Furious could have easily gone down the path of violence and drugs however he knew he was going to have a son. Furious wanted to be someone who his son could look up to, so Furious joined the army and went to Vietnam in order to remove himself from the bad environment. Furious is extremely intelligent and has a wealth of knowledge about the existing issues of that time and is also very cultured. Trey’s biggest Key event in his life is probably moving in with his father. Even when Trey was young he was a smart boy, mostly because of his father. During his “lecture” he even noted that what he said, he heard from his father. Trey is smarter and more courteous than his peers because of his father’s influence. Trey also knows to stay out of trouble and keep himself away from a life of violence, drugs and crime. Doughboy was the child in his family that was hated. When Doughboy is caught
