Daniel Nieto Robert Daudu Bio 2060L.4 2 October 2018 Lab 3 The purpose of lab 3 was to practice the entire procedure of observing microorganisms. This includes preparing and staining a slide, to using a microscope to observe at 1000x magnification using the proper techniques. The second major part of the lab was to collect information on identifying an unknown organism. The results as can be seen in the three pictures given, are that the stains were successful and the shapes and distinctions in the microorganism are able to be sen. The two different organism that were stained are E.Coli and S. Aureus. The stain resulted in E.coli being many rod shaped bacteria that are visible and the S. Aureus are coccus shaped and formed many clumps and were small. The significance of these results were that the stains show clearly the distinctions between bacteria species that allows many scientists to study microorganism under the microscope. Also the
