The culture I chose is the Hispanic and Latino population. “The term Latino denotes all persons living in the United States whose origins can be traced to Spanish-speaking regions of Latin American, including the Caribbean, Mexico, Central American, and South America (Carteret, 2011).” Hispanic and Latin Americans come from diverse social, economic, and geographic backgrounds making them all very different depending on their family heritage and national origin. (Yafi, 2015). Latinos make up the largest racial minority group in the U.S. and are expected to comprise 30% of the entire U.S. population by 2050.Data collected by Epidemiologist indicate that Latinos are at a greater risk for negative health outcomes, which makes Latinos less likely to have access to healthcare when compared to other racial and ethnic groups (Zhen-Duan, Jacque, & Vaughn, 2017).A community-oriented approach would be to educate Hispanics about the importance of preventive care
