Instructions: Read through the entire Emergency Department Record on Samantha Runyan again: 1. (5 points) Refer to the two EKGs that were performed on Samantha. Look at the electrical tracings. Describe in your own words, using layman’s terms , the major differences in the appearance of the graphical waves and intervals in the two EKGs. Include in your description the shapes of the tracings and the spacing between the graphical waves . Layman's terms mean non-medical descriptions that someone who does not know medical terminology might use. For example, a layman would not know about the P, QRS, T wave graphical tracings while looking at an EKG for the first time. How would these waves appear to a layman? The first EKG appears to show a faster heart rate. The intervals are smaller and appear to go up and down. The second EKG shows a normal heart rate, there appears to be a bigger space between the waves. Go to A.D.A.M. encyclopedia. Under “tests” click on “electrocardiogram (EKG)”

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
