CHAPTER 5 CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS This study sought to establish the effect of self- publishing to an author in Libri Company. The research objectives were to find out the routine of self -publishing and how Libri can emulate the strategy, to identify the micro and macro market that affects the self-publishing industry, to find out the importance of franchising as an entry method, to identify the marketing strategies that will help the company attract more authors and the importance of social media while publishing a book. This chapter gives the, conclusions and recommendations of the study. Recommendation Since potential readers like to know little about the authors to ensure their potential investment of time Libri should open social media accounts face book, and twitter which should be linked so that people do a little deeper. Marketing skills, and editing skills are important in the self-publishing industry therefore the Company Libri should recruit individuals who will help authors achieve success in marketing their books. observing that majority of the respondents have reservations on the convenience and cost of the service as a result of problems associated with the functionality of the service. CHAPTER 6 CRITICAL SELF REFLECTION During the project of group consultation, I was able to understand the ethical dilemmas of publishing and worked together as a team to get recommendations on how Libri Company should adopt to the self-publishing routine, working in a small team was effective and involved collaboration and co-operation. Despite the difference in cultural background as a team we were able to form a clear strategy of how to conduct our research, in today’s global and dynamic environment most organizations require students and colleagues to work in groups or teams (Armstrong 2014) as it allows students to learn interactively. The first challenge we faced after the group formation was how to organise the work to complete the task on time, every group member was assigned their own topic and decided for each task when it should be completed which helped all team members to know who will do what in which format and by when.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
