Abstract The purpose of this study is to identify, examine, discuss and explain different aspects of culturally inclusive special education with specific focus on African American students. In this light, this study will therefore explore the various models of special education implemented in the United States currently. The problem that this study seeks to address is the insufficient levels to which the educator’s self-efficacy, teaching abilities and the degrees of student acceptance to educative inputs have been addressed in the existing body of literature. Moreover, the study seeks to provide a deeper and more advanced explanation the implementation of Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis in select special education precincts. This study is based on a triangulation format of data collection and analysis. The study seeks to establish the levels to which focused culture dynamics and achieved culture gaps/diversity form core arguments in current crop of research dealing with AA students , what needs to be achieved to fill academic gaps and better culture interactions and interplays in academics.The research questions that have been used to develop and broaden the scope of this study are; what experiences of educational professionals interacting professionally with AA students in domains of Special Education,how they perceive their connectivity roles and functional responsibilities vis-à-vis culture integration and assimilation with AA students in SE domains and its main barriers and challenges and how derived strengths help negotiate barriers and overcome challenges in these domains. The results of this study may be applied in improving the special education sector in the united states and any other area that involves a culturally diverse education sector.
