The application uses rules based routing to locate the proper the fix agent for a request based on subject, topic, customer location and time frame. Modernization the application required substantial refactoring of legacy back end code to utilize enterprise architecture component libraries that featured method interception, dependency injection and auto mapping which enabled extensive and complete unit test projects to be created for all components. Modernizing the application also entailed creating new and modifying existing front end components to be more loosely coupled and more reactive by utilizing web API REST services, declarative binding using knockout, as well as client server communication using SignalR.
