You may show your solution in more than one way to investigate beyond the requirements of the problem. 1.Use the equation 4x + 10= 32 for parts a–d. a.Add 4 to each side of the equation. Tell, in your own words, how you know that the two sides of the equation are still equal. Well if you add 4 to each side it stays in even numbers which 4x goes to 8x and 32 goes to 36 so either way they still say the same. 8x + 10 = 36 b.How are the solutions of the original equation and the equation in part a related? They are related because the x factor stays the same the letter does not change at all neither does the middle number 10 it stays same in each sentence. What does the term equivalent equations mean? An algebraic expression is a string of numbers, variables, mathematical operations, and possibly exponents equivalent expressions that simplify to an equal value when numbers are
