The Caine Performance Hall was incredible. It had fabric covered seats that were designed to provide a consistent performance regardless of how many people attended. Near the roof t there was a very nice sound shelf that helped reduce the echoes and provide a clearer sound. The concert goers seemed to be in their 20s to 30s. Mostly college students. The color scheme of the hall had a soothing effect which helped me enjoy the performance. One of my favorite pieces from the performance was “Mrs. Noah’s aria” from hotel Eden by Henry Mollicone. Diane Thueson Riech sang soprano, and Scott Holden played piano. I enjoyed how this piece alternated between Homophonic, and occasionally monophonic. The piece was very conjunct melody. I enjoyed how the music matched the message Diane Thueson Riech was singing about. The piece had a very dynamic form, the melody would be going along like it had before, and then all at once there was a pause, and then the song gradually moved back to the original melody.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
