What is Internet of Things (IoT)
Internet of things (IoT) is where objects are able to communicate with
other devices, applications, and services via internet connectivity (Kroenke
& Boyle 2017).
This is where objects are converted from being simple devices to “smart
devices” capable of receiving, transmitting, and processing data
(Contreras-Masse, Ochoa-Zezzatti, García, Mejía,& Gonzalez, 2019)
These devices utilize hardware and software components to process vast
amounts of data transmitted in real-time (Kroenke & Boyle 2017).
