Data Triangulation, Problem Behavior, Competing Behavior Chart Assignments Directions: In the following assignment a data triangulation, a problem behavior, and competing behavior pathway should be completed. First, choose one of the scenarios below. Second, complete the data triangulation chart, problem behavior pathway and competing behavior pathway using the template on page 2. You will make up hypothetical data for the data triangulation chart. You do NOT need to create a scatterplot, ABC data chart, etc. for this assignment. Instead, you should summarize the hypothetical data in your chart. Note: An example is available on page 5 Scenarios: 1. Denny is an 18-year-old with autism that engages in severe aggression. He is in a self-contained classroom with three other students that engage in similar challenging behavior. The function of his challenging behavior has been determined to be access to escape from academic and vocational demands. 2. Rebecca is a 33-year-old woman with Cornelia De Lange Syndrome that engages in skin picking and head hitting. She currently lives in a group home, which allows very close supervision for her safety. Her challenging behavior has been determined to be automatically maintained. 3. Taylor is a 10-year-old male with moderate intellectual disability that engages in disruptive behavior when tangible items are restricted. He currently lives at home with his parents and siblings. The function of his challenging behavior has been determined to be access to tangible items.
