To: English 221 Class From: Gregory Stephens Date: 11/15/18 Subject: Expanding Real Estate Using Apple iPads Abstract While thinking about the advances in technology these days, it’s hard to understand why we are not using these devices to their full potential. In this case specifically, the Apple iPad is the perfect use for Real Estate Agents to use for research, contracts, and general communication. The Apple iPad is the perfect device to put all the listed apps on to make shopping for a home an easy job. Although these devices can get pricey, I strive to provide every Real Estate agent with their own personal Apple iPad Pro. Because the Apple iPad Pro has features like face ID recognition, this is a secure way for my employees to do their job and not worry about anyone getting into their device or making any unauthorized changes to their applications. Recommended Uses 1) Real Estate Apps/Websites. When houses, condos, and open land are formally put up for sale, they are assigned an MLS number (Multiple Listing Service). This MLS number automatically feeds the many different real estate shopping apps and websites. A few examples would be Redfin, Zillow, and Realtor.com. Long are the days gone where a person would have to research available homes through the newspapers. Now, with technology in our hands, we can search several different sites, while filtering for our price range, location, and even bed/bath quantities (Eaton, 2013). These apps show the location selections via a map, or just in list format. This would be extremely convenient for a Real Estate Agent to be able to go over multiple options with their clients, while out and about, and physically walking through homes.
