The death penalty, a punishment of ending a person’s life for a crime they have done. Now a lot of people believe that it is inhuman to end another person’s life because of The Value of Life Principle. However, to me I feel that the death penalty is perfectly acceptable for the right crime such as sex trafficking, rape or murder. I feel it is acceptable due to the retributive or deserts theory. The Retributive or Deserts Theory states punishment should be given only when it is deserved and to the extent it is deserved. Now let’s look at Casey Anthony. In 2008 Caylee Anthony, daughter to Casey Anthony, was reported missing. After a very deep and thorough investigation it was found that little Caylee Anthony who was 2 at the time was found in the wood with a blanket inside a trash bag, at this point all that was left was her skeletal remains. Now as a mother I would have been looking high and low for my child, but Casey decided to not even report her missing even after 31 days of not seeing here. Instead, she was seen out partying
