Code 2727.5 of the California NPA outlines the scope of practice of RNs during emergency care. It has the role of protecting the licensed nurses who have acted or omitted particular requirements when providing emergency care provided such a person acted in good faith to provide the care (“Legislative Information,” n.d). However, the section gives warning by outlining no protection to those persons who could make gross negligent during the provision of emergency care. The code of the NPA would impact professional registered nurses in various ways. Firstly, the act has expanded the scope of practice of registered nurses ( Buppert, 2017). Other than providing emergency care within their places of employment and within their course, registered nurses can provide their services during demanding situations like emergency cases. The act extends the law of civil liability immunity to registered nurses during emergency care.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
