Definition of Terrorism Psychological View of Terrorists Behavior is result of mental illness rather than political motives. This view is controversial and critics suggest it is incorrect, that the stress of  being a terrorist causes the mental disorders and not vice versa. Socialization View of Terrorists Believe they have been victimized by an oppressor and are taught to hate  them.
