His eminence Theodore Cardinal McCarrick gave a lecture on his life and global peace. Cardinal McCarrick was a former Archbishop of Washington, a member of the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants & Itinerant Peoples, and the Pontifical Commission for Latin America. He was one of the cardinals who chose the Vatican’s current pope, Pop Benedict XVI. He has become quite the comparative scientist since he has seen all kinds of government systems and knows which one has helped the people most. When discussing global peace, Cardinal McCarrick said that we, as people, are running out of time and ideas to help each other.
