SMOKE FREE REGULATIONS Introduction This paper will give an analytic review the article: New York's smoker-free regulations: impacts of effects the sales in sales in the hospitality industry or employment. I will put more emphasis on the evaluation of the research question as well as the outlined purpose of study. I will also review the design and methodology used for the study, and this will be attained by looking at the results which are attained as well as the analyzation of the results. Lastly, I will briefly summarize of how well the article has followed Krathwohl’s chain of reasoning, whereby I will give a brief description of the ineffective links in the chain. Research Question and Purpose of Study The research was carried out by Russ Sciandra, Andrew Hyland and Vanaja Puli is one of the best examples which clearly shows the utilization quantitative research methodology in order to be able to respond to the research question. The paper is well written and well organized. The reason as to why I feel that the paper is properly organized is because starts with a concise discussion of the research problem, purpose as well as justification for the study. The purpose of the research was to ascertain the impact of smoke-free regulations on the business as well as beneficent of hotels and restaurants in New York. The authors of the article justified their research clearly by giving an explanation of the essence of further research due to the following reasons: the first reason is because the research which was available regarding effect of smoke-free restrictions did not have similar conclusions, the second reason is because the available research did not thoroughly examine the of the implementation of regulations for smoke free in various areas, that is how the implementation affected various employment levels. The third reason as to why the authors of the research proposed for further research is because there were questions which were raised regarding the impact of smoking restrictions on

SMOKE FREE REGULATIONS organizations, particularly the effects in certain localities which may be distinct from the impacts experienced in other localities. The authors of the article also clearly noted that the most detailed research which utilized objective employment as well as measurements of sales to establish the impacts of smoke-free regulations showed that there the implementation did not have any harm or negative effect to the restaurants as well as bars ( Angell,2016 ). The Research which identified prejudicial effects of smoke-free regulations basically depended on instinctive measurements which comprised of surveys and questionnaires which were not properly reviewed, or most of them were sponsored by interest groups and hence they were not as objective to the expected level. The authors of the article did not give reasons for their selection of New York in. there are several reasons as to why New York seemed to be the
