1Al Gharrawi Shahad Al GharrawiProfessor Sheryl HollandEduc130023 March 2019Career Research PaperMy name is Shahad Al Gharrawi and I am 17 years old. I am a college student planning to become a doctor, so I need to get my bachelor’s degree, do the MCAT test, enter medical school, and then go to residency. My passion for becoming a doctor started when I was a kid. I loved helping people and took my doctor, when I was a kid, as a role model. I live for the tickling feeling when I get to help cure someone. Besides that, beautiful feeling, it was such an honor to get to study and deal with God’s creation; how a human body works had always been something extremely complex and challenging. It is a long journey, but I think that my dream is worth the path.According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook (),a physician/surgeon makes a median salary of $208,000 per year, an anesthesiologist makes $265,990 per year, and a surgeon makes $251,890 per year. In reference to Careeronestop (?

It could be using appliances or manually. I am not sure yet about what speciality I am going to pursue in medicine yet, but for now, I plan to become an orthopedic surgeon. An orthopedic surgeon is a physician who treats problems and issues related to bones, joints, and muscles. There are many responsibilities that a surgeon handles, which includes examining, operating, and prescribing medications to ensure the patient’s physical health and safety. In order to become a surgeon, I need to gain a doctoral/professional degree and an internship/residency. The Occupational Outlook handbook shows that the job outlook of a surgeon is bright; new job opportunities are very likely in future as the occupation is expected to grow much faster than average. No work experience is required to pursue this career. To become a doctor, I need to get a 4-year undergraduate degree and it should not necessarily be in a scientific major, although it is usually recommended. After getting the bachelor's degree, I should register in a test called the “MCAT” (Medical College Admission Test) and earn a satisfactory score at least. While preparing for all those requirements, it is a good step to volunteer/join internships or co-ops in order to strengthen my ‘resume’ and apply for a medical school with a strong background. If accepted in medical school, I would spend another four years to complete the medical program. In reference to () website, the “medical school is divided into two major components; pre-clinical and clinical. This means that during the medical school, I will be introduced to the hospital environment before even graduating. Before graduating, a medical student should take the “USMLE” Step1 after the second year and get good grades in it. After finishing the medical program, I should be already prepared to take the second part of the USMLE in order to move to residency. This exam is
