Management 2 Management Management is the act of setting up organizational strategies in a way that makes them viable and well-coordinated in an executable manner to achieve desired set objectives. Management incorporated the utilization of the organizational available resources which include natural, human, financial and technological resources (Goetsch and Davis, 2014). Management is studied in universities and colleges to acquire the know-how on supervision skills and strategies, teamwork and diversity, organizational leadership and social leadership. However the need for studies on the field, management has been argued as to whether it is art or science and this paper will look at the subject matter and provide a conclusion as to whether it is indeed art, science or a blend of both. Unclear sentence In all the levels of management, concepts of science and art are evident as discussed below; Nature of Management Work The management discipline includes working in different levels i.e. senior managers, middle managers and low managers. Senior managers They include CEO’s, board members or an organizational president. Senior managers are involved in the most critical decisions in the context of creating changes within an organization, setting up mission and visions for the organization. Senior management staff also build employees ownership of the company’s performance and also creating positive organizational cultures which will breed positive impacts on the organization in terms of profits, growth and recognition.

Management 3 Middle Managers Middle managers do report to senior managers paraphrase by acting as a link between low level and senior managers and include branch and regional managers. They do set aims that in line with the senior management ideas and implement the way forward on achieving the strategies (Ates, Ahn and Wooldridge, 2015). Their roles also include paraphrase resource allocation to make the drafted objectives achievable. The middle management also links and coordinates inter organizational departments and divisions to make them understand the common aim they are working towards and how team work between the several departments will aid in achieving them. Too long sentence Low-Level Managers Low level managers include team leaders and supervisors, they oversee the work done by regular employees to ensure that they who? are done in the right manner to achieve objectives set by their senior managers (Williams, 2013). For the nature of operations by low level managers which keeps them close to employees, unclear they offer motivational tokens and promotions to notable employees.
