Olivia Turner ENGL 1102 Professor Palumbo 2018, January 15 Diagnostic Assignment Mrs. Mina Das, the wife of Mr. Das who has isolated herself from her husband and children that she barely knows when they are around her. She seems to only care about herself and nobody else around her. In “Interpreter of Maladies”, she does not see to show much compassion or gratitude for anyone but herself. In the story at the beginning it says this, “At the tea stall Mr. and Mrs. Das bickered about who should take Tina to the toilet. Eventually Mrs. Das relented when Mr. Das pointed out that he had given the girl her bath the night before.”, as you can tell Mrs. Das does not even want to do nothing with her children. Mrs. Das does not even care for her children which probably affects them in so many ways.
