The student experience is different for each individual,however there are benefits and cons to both types of educational settings. Online courses providestudents with the ability to work at their own pace and are very flexible, adapting to a widevariety of circumstances an individual's might be going through. Traditional education settingsare typically for individuals who have more dedicated time to participate in a scheduled style oflearning. Social interaction and peer relationships are also valuable and key components to theeducational process.Although engagement with instructors and other classmates are less common in onlinesettings, it still is a required component of the curriculum. In contrast, traditional educationalsettings provide more opportunities for face-to-face interaction with other peers and instructors.Technology has allowed educators to opportunity to interact on many platforms effectivelywithout the need of a physical interaction. Students can make their own decisions about what isthe best fit for them, whether it be in person or online.Technologies effect on social relationships:Communication has evolved incredibly through technological advancements. Theseadvances in communication technology allow more opportunities for individuals tocommunication in a more effective and efficient way.
