NELSON STREET SOCCER LEAGUE Abstract The young British Asians have for a long time been dormant in football and any matters that are associated with football. Some have participated in other games to replace football but the majority is less involved. This could be explained by lack of access to the grassroots levels in the region. As a result, this report has been used to design, evaluate, and implement the Nelson Street Soccer League Project. The aim of the project is to help provide a permanent solution to the problem at hand. It is also aimed at growing talents from the young stars who will pursue football further as a career. The project has also a busy schedule thus majority of the youths will be able to spend most of their time doing more useful things. Playing of the games can also be done as a hobby which is crucial in that it promotes togetherness and cooperation Acknowledgement 2

NELSON STREET SOCCER LEAGUE The project has taken most of my time to incubate, design and implement. I would like to acknowledge all those who have influenced me in this project including some of my closest friends who responded well when I called to enquire about an issue. This includes Ahmed Jaleel who took his time to respond to me through the outlook mails. I would also like to acknowledge my supervisors for their patience and guidance as I pursued the project. I would also recognize the effort of the Computer support staff that helped me analyze my data using technical software. Lastly I would like to acknowledge my dear parents for giving me morale that saw me complete this project 1. Introduction This document is an individual report that was written down to describe the design of the project Managing Sport Development Project. Managing Development Project was developed with an aim of helping the young British Asians who showed low levels of interest in football. The decision was concluded after I carried out the research among the youths in Nelson. This research showed that many youths in this region did not participate in the football game due to different reasons and therefore the game was no common among them. One of the possible reasons on why the game is not common is due to lack of access to grassroots levels. To face out this problem, my project aims at providing the game in football street cages which are mostly used in football academies. The project mostly aims at recruiting the under 16 group. There is a total of 4 teams each consisting of 5 members and one member probably for substitution. This will be the starting squad. After successfully running the project, then more teams can be recruited and more youths absorbed.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
