Kaci Chandra 06/25/2007 Section 11 Valerie Goodman SP: To inform my audience on the different choices they have for cell phone carriers Central Idea: To help the audience realize how many different choices they have, to tailor the services of each carrier to individual  needs. Pattern of Organization: Topical I. INTRODUCTION a. How many times has your cell phone, or a classmate’s for that matter; gone off during a lecture?(A) We all  know it’s happened so you might as well admit it to yourself. The truth is, our professors are only aggravated by  it because they didn’t have them when they were our age. There is a huge technological gap between our  generations right now, and in a recent survey done by TELEPHIA, more than 54% of cell phone users are 13-20  years old, and a whopping 80% of adults (18+) have a cell phone in their possession. Almost all of us have cell  phones, but whether we are paying for our own service or mommy and daddy are footing the bill, our generation  needs to be informed on the specifics of two major carriers that are popular here in Iowa so we can make an  informed decision later on down the road(R).
