1My plans for the final paper are to write on how Ronald Reagans came to be President Ronald Reagan the 40thpresident of the United Stated of America and how his economic changeswhile in office still affects us today specifically our paychecks and taxes. How he was just a small-town boy from Tampico, Illinois and wanted better for himself his wife and his nation. He was an actor and saw the more business side of entertainment, then he ran for Governor, later running for president. He pulled us from an inflation we had been in since 1965, when he was elected in 1980. Stagflation was where we were and he saw the issue, with high unemployment yet rising prices for goods, what many have called reaganomi’ss is what changed the stagflation. Reganomic’s was a trickle-down theory, there wasn’t just tax cuts in his plan but deregulating businesses using private contractors and decreasing the spending on domestic social programs, such as food stamps social security and disability. His two tax bills of 1981 and 1986 having the income tax rate from the high 70 percent to 28 percent which is the lowest since the 1920’s. by using sources that describe what regenomic is will give a background to the paper, and sources toshow the positive reaction to him presidential victory will show hos citizens were able to go understand the changes he was implementing. And sources that give details to the inflation suffered prior to 1983 when America had recovered. Sources for Reagans ways of campaigning will show his platform and the standards he won with, and how true did he hold to his platform once he was in office.
