Joseph Vasquez Problem: If gourmet blend radish seeds are exposed to different colors of light (yellow, red, and blue) for 11 days which color of light will be the best for them to have a higher rate of growth and development? Hypothesis: If you expose gourmet blend radish seeds to the colors red, yellow, and blue light then, red will do the best because red light stimulates vegetative growth and flowering due to red light being absorbed in more abundant amounts unlike other colors.White light contains all colors of light yes someone are good but also some of the colors aren't very good like green because green is not very well absorbed by plants that's one reason plants are green. You see green because its the color reflected while red is being absorbed and taken in transformed into energy for the plant. Red is at the high end of the light spectrum and at the high end more energy is transferred therefore more energy for the plant the more it will grow. Design: The manipulated variable is the colors of light we are exposing to the gourmet blend radish seeds which are blue, red, yellow. The control of the experiment is the gourmet blend radish seeds exposed to a regular lamp with clear light, Three constant factors of the experiment are using the same type of radish seed (gourmet blend), same number of seeds per petri dish which was 5, and also the same amount of water the gourmet blend radish seeds were given (10 ml of water per day). Also another constant factor was the distance the light is from the seeds.(which is 30 centimeters)

4. Fill beaker with 100 ml of water 5. retrieve 30ml of water from beaker with needleless syringe (if there's only 10ml syringe then do process 3 times) 6. slowly spray water on paper towels ( 10 ml for each towel) 7. place the 5 gourmet blend seeds on the damp paper towel and close petri dish ( do for each petri dish) 8. Place tape on petri dish (do not close it!) and label the tape with permanent marker (yellow, blue, or red) 9. Turn on lamps 10. place petri dishes under lamps 11. Place colored film (red, yellow,or blue) over the petri dishes and tape down 12. adjust lamp to be 30 cm above seeds Experimental procedure day 5 and 9: 1. Gather materials 2. take seeds out of petri dish using forceps and place on dry paper towel 3. place string side by side next to the germinated seedling (measure from roots to leaves/whole thing) and make sure they are identical size 4. mark the point of string with the permanent marker where the string is at the top of the sapling 5.

"Before using Course Hero my grade was at 78%. By the end of the semester my grade was at 90%. I could not have done it without all the class material I found."

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
