7.03 Agriculture and Food Ciara Goins 29 April 2019 Lydia Goodrum Below you will find several interviews that I conducted recently. I interviewed my mom, dad, sister, brother, and my cousin Westlee about their daily diet and their knowledge of sustainable agriculture techniques. They all have different backgrounds and very contrasting answers. Interview with my Dad, Brian: Me- So what would be your typically daily or weekly diet? Dad- Well, since I am currently on a low carb diet, I eat a lot of protein. I eat a high number of eggs, a lot of bacon, turkey, beef patties, and grilled chicken. I also eat a lot of grilled vegetables such as broccoli, zucchini, squash, brussel sprouts, and asparagus. Me- Do you support big or small agriculture? Dad- I don’t necessarily support either of them. I think they’re both necessary in order to thrive and get enough to feed a population. Me- Do you know any sustainable agricultural practices? Dad- Is that like when you eat organic? Interview with my Mom, Nichole: Me- So what would be your typically daily or weekly diet? Mom- Well you know I am on that diet with your dad, so it's difficult to eat healthy foods and no carbs. I find myself eating a lot of lean meats like chicken. I also eat a lot vegetables like brussel sprouts, broccoli, squash, green peppers, zucchini, asparagus, and cucumbers. I cook them a lot of different ways and they probably don’t always end up healthy. I try to eat a lot of salad too. Me- Do you support big or small agriculture?
