Nido, M05September 10, 2018Bowling Ball Time/Position LabPurpose:The goal of the lab is to figure out how to represent motion on a graph. Motion can berepresented as lines, dots, curves etc.Hypothesis:The more force is applied to roll the bowling ball, the quicker it will reach every mark. The linegraph will have a positive slope for the first two trials and a negative slope for the third trial.Materials:dry erase marker, a meter stick, bowling ball, stopwatches, writing utensil, and paper.Procedure:1.With the dry erase marker, mark when each meter ends; do this ten times.2.Position a roller (with a bowling ball), at the 0 meters mark, and a catcher at the 10meters mark.3.Then, position a person at every mark with a stopwatch, this includes the catcher.4.To start the roller should then proceed to roll the bowling ball with medium strength tothe catcher, while the persons positioned at the marks record the time in which thebowling ball passes their mark with their stopwatches.
