Rivaldo Manzano Section AB Angels in America Essay Due 1/31 In Tony Kushner’s Angels in America:Millennium Approaches the character I identified with the most was Louis Ironson. Throughout the play he was troubled with guilt and tried to take others people’s feelings into consideration. He was never completely cold hearted but at the end of the day he did what was best for himself. I can identify with this because often times I will feel guilty and try to view situations from different perspectives but when it comes down to it I will do what’s best for myself and the people I love without hurting other too much. The character I least identified with was Roy Cohn. Throughout the play he showed himself to be a complete asshole. He is homophobic even though he himself is attracted to men. This is because of his power seeking mentality. He did not want to be associated with being gay because at that time it came along with many negative connotations. I can not see myself being anything this person. He is a homophobic and racist bigot.
