Tommy Tran 39822135 insert TA’s name 1a) Histogram of glyhb Summary Statistics: Mean: 5.974 Median: 4.975 1 st Quartile: 4.393 2 nd Quartile: 4.975 3 rd Quartile: 6.487 Max: 16.110 Min: 2.850 SD: 2.536 IQR: 2.095 1b) By comparing both box plots, the females and males have a similar range, mean and standard deviation. Female (F) and Male (M) include (F) Range: 59-443 (M) 45-404 Mean: (F) 223 (M) 209 SD: (F) 49 (M) (44) Because there are difference between the mean and median (F) Mean - Median 223-215 = 8 the graph is skewed to the right. For males 209 – 206 = 3 suggest that it is also skewed to the right. However, we can see that the females have a bigger IQR, and the males have a smaller one. Therefore the 3 rd quartile for men’s is smaller. By comparing the shapes, the females would have a larger skewed to the right uni-modal graph and the males would have a smaller skewed to the right uni-modal graph. Without the outliers, we can see a similar shape in their graph. The data is also sensitive to outliers. The range is then extended because of the outliers.

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
