Often domestic terrorism has led to increase threat within America national security being
view visible of are daily lives.
Many of these attacks have led to causing fear, chaos, and
disrupt in most of the public’s way of life.
Sadly, over the last few years, there has been
changes global to the methods and motives of terrorist attacks within a country.
How I
hope to detail point out
the terrorist actions have directly transform, is through this
research paper by point at comparing and contrasting a pre-9/11 terrorist event- the USS
Cole Bombing with a post-9/11 terrorist event-the Boston Marathon bombing.
USS Cole Bombing
Prior to 9/11,
the mastermind of the USS Cole bombing, Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri
, a
active member of
al-Qaida operative. Came up with a plan to gain the world attentions
because they didn’t feel they was be support by the Western country many America in it
role to improve their economy. which
on
October 12, 2000, as the USS Cole was
traveling along the Red Sea to Bahrain with a planned stopped at the port of Aden in
Yemen for refueling. When a small boat approach makes friendly gesture, which have
normal been view by most sailors. When abruptly later the boat with
two suicide bombers
exploded, leaving a forty-by-forty-foot hole on the port side of the ship. The explosion
killed seventeen sailors on the USS Cole and injured thirty-nine others. Ultimately led to
a mass amount of tension between
al-Qaida and their show America was weak and
United States for those involved to be punished for their action thus led to troop being
place later in to Afghanistan to assure long term protection from this threat. The U.S.
government would also place bounty on individual for their role in the attack of USS
Cole, in the coming year before 9/11.
After the 9/11 terrorist attacks,

Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev
brother choose the use of
homemade pressure cooker
bombs
to carry out an attack of domestic terrorism.
On
15 April 2013
, while most
Bostonian’s was either enjoy the events of
Patriots’ Day
, or those associated to the

Boston Marathon which led to a violent ending when two bombs exploded near the finish
line.
As a direct impact of this resulting in the death of three people and injury of more
than 250 people. Which led to a manhunt directly involving the public shed light on the
event through an all-day city-wide lockdown support by national media coverage.
