QUESTION SET #7 mom’s horse Luke canter around the pasture. The warm sun shone down on his copper colored hair, and the wind flew through his mane. I remember in that moment, at only four years old, I caught the “horse fever”. Shortly after catching the “fever” my parents sold Luke revealing a devastating blow to my equestrian dream. In the following years I made it well known to my parents how much I wanted a horse again, again, and again. I gave monthly presentations in the living room explaining why I deserve a horse of my own. My mom tried to deter me from it fearing I would quickly lose interest, but I fixated on the idea. At the age of 12 my mom granted my wish. I began leasing a little pony named CJ who taught me all the basics. Together we successfully showed on the local show circuits and in 4-H, even earning a Top 5 at the Pennsylvania State 4-H Horse Show.
