QUESTION SET #10 2 Part I: The Q-Sort 1. In the attached chart, you will find 36 traits. Start by cutting them into individual pieces. 2. Go to chart #1 Self Perception - Arrange the 36 traits in the design of the chart with respect to how you presently see yourself . Place the traits that are most like you on the far left and place those traits that are least like you on the far right . Thus, if conservative (1) and spontaneous (2) are the traits you most resonate with, you should place those numbers in the two slots at the far left end of the chart. Record all 36 numbers in the chart. 3. Go to chart #2 Ideal Self Perception – Arrange the 36 traits in the design of the chart with respect to how you would ideally like to be ----the “perfect” you. Again, place the traits you see as most like you on the far left and place those traits you see as least like you on the far right. 4. Ask three individuals to do this exercise (identify each as “Participant A, B, and C in relation to the chart---for each provide a name on the chart and a one or two word relationship the person has with you). Ultimately any three people will work, but it is best if you have some diversity in those you pick----try not to go for three high school friends, three older relatives, three co-workers or three friends you have made on your residence hall floor. Strive for diversity with respect to the context in which you know the persons,
