During last year of Medical School, I must pass the 2nd part of the USMLE to receive a MD or DO degree upon graduation. In addition, I would have to get a Pediatrics Internship which would take a year, This internship would be taken place in a doctor’s office. Lastly, I would be in school for 2 more years to take my Part 3 of the USMLE and to become licensed to practice medicine. In result, to become a Pediatrician I must attend college, medical school, and a Pediatric Internship, which would approximately take 11 years to complete.Good colleges to attend for this career is the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard's Medical School, University of California (San Francisco), Johns Hopkins University and Stanford University School of Medicine. My CTE program is helping me prepare for this career because it gives me an opportunity to view other careers and it also helps me develop critical thinking, good communication skills and problem solving skills. There isn't a CTE course within my current high school that is needed for my Career Pathupset the basics which are science and math. Meanwhile, in Newark Tech they offer a nursing program that is within the range of the medical field. But I believe Payne Tech is the school for me.
