What is Evan Grossman’s main idea? Evan Grossman’s main idea in the article is that children are becoming lazy, un-motived, and unproductive parts of society for being rewarded for doing nothing. 2. In general, do you agree with Grossman’s main idea or not? Yes, I agree with Grossman’s main idea. Children have come to expect rewards for just showing up or doing mediocre things. This has produced a mindset that mediocre is good enough and there is no need to strive for something better.
