Berlin Wall?

In 1961 in germany there was a Wall that separated the east and
west of the country, East Germany was controlled by the communist
regime of the Soviet Union while West Germany became a
democracy supported by the United States.

Cold war period:
mid 1940´s until the early 1990´s

The Cold War is the name given to the fight between the USA and
the USSR after World War Two. The Cold War was to dominate
international affairs for decades and many major crises occurred –
the Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam, Hungary and the Berlin Wall.
