Premise and Conclusion 2 Arguments are made up of two parts. These two parts are tested by the listener to determine belief. The testing method determines the validity of the argument. First however the two parts must undergo a test of fallacy and be ruled. Premise and conclusion are the parts of the argument. Identification of the conclusion is the first step. The conclusion gives indication to the premises. The process of validating the argument begins with working back through the premises. The supporting evidence provided in the premises must be true. Also each premise must correctly beg the question of fallacy. This means that when asked does the statement make sense and hold true. If this is established then the premise is true.
