Most firearms cost about $400-$900. The second amendment says, “ A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” This does not mean that the people have a right to unlimited guns. A limit on the number of firearms could reduce gun related deaths. From 1999 to2013 there were 464,033 total gun related deaths (CDC). If the amount of guns is decreased therewould be fewer weapons to kill people with. My grandfather always says “ Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.”Stricter gun ownership laws are needed, not stricter laws on guns themselves.While, the second amendment of the U.S Constitution protects individual gun ownership, fivewomen are murdered everyday with a gun (Gerney and Parsons). A woman's risk of being murdered increases by 500% during a domestic dispute(Mayors against illegal guns). On top of that American women are 11.4 times more likely to be the victim of a gun homicide (McFarlane and Campbell). Between 2001 and 2013, 6, 410 people were killed with a gun by his /her intimate partner (Garney and Parsons).” If there were stricter gun laws this could decrease by a
